15cm² Digital Cone Penetrometer for CPT Push
15cm² Digital Cone
Available in 2.5 Ton, 5 Ton, and 20 Ton Configurations
Rugged and Reliable:
VERTEK's Digital Cones provide simple, easy-to-use CPT measurements in a compact and rugged system. Since analog-to-digital conversion is preformed down-hole, the bulkiness of cabling and uphole electronics are reduced, and noise problems associated with cable length and low voltage signals of analog systems are eliminated.
VERTEK's rugged 10 conductor cable with LEMO type connectors ensures reliable data transmission with each penetration test. The VTK Series 15cm² Digital Cone has recently been redesigned with improved strength and ease of maintenance.
Industry Leading Performance:
By decoupling the tip and sleeve load cells and sensing each independently, VERTEK digital cones provide higher load capacity and better resolution than industy standards. Accurate temperature compensation assures reliable performance in soft soils.
Simple, Easy-to-Use Operation:
Data collected down-hole is transmitted in ASCII format providing complete compatibility with commercially available laptops through the VERTEK DataPack 2000 or new DataPack 2010. Sensor specific data ( calibration factors, serial numbers and sensor type) are stored in each sensor module in the cone, and are automatically transmitted to the DataPack with each penetration so a technician can operate the system with minimal training.
Multi-Sensor Efficiency:
The VERTEK 15 cm² Digital Cone is the standardized ASTM size of 1.75" for 2.5 ton, 5 ton and 20 ton configurations. The digital design allows configuration of multiple digital sensors. Vertek's 15 cm² Digital Cones come standard with tip, sleeve, pore pressure and inclination sensors. Sensor options include: temperature and seismics. Optional add-on modules include: resistivity, fuel fluorescence detector and video.
