| Vertek's dynamic cone penetrometer and data acquisition system (DCP-DAS) are designed to work together, automatically measuring and recording the depth of penetration and number of drops for the evaluation of the in-situ strength of pavement base, sub-base, and sub-grade materials. DCP-DAS data is recorded in an electronic format that can be easily downloaded to a computer for further analysis. | Vertek's Automated Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (ADCP) system is equipped with an automatically switched lift/drop mechanism and a Windows-based Data Acquisition System (DAS), providing an accurate, fast, and efficient evaluating in-situ conditions of new and existing highway and airfield pavements as well as quality control of new pavement construction. The ADCP-DAS determines the in-situ strength and thickness of soils, unbound granular base and sub-base pavement layers and subgrades. |
