HT Series Digital Data Acquisition Controller
The digital FCS HT-0590 is designed for ease of use in interfacing with digital HT Series CPT cone penetrometers. It can be used with almost any common Windows based laptop computer making it ideal for customers just starting out in CPT.
The HT-0590 is a direct replacement for the E4FCS system and can be used as an upgrade to replace E2 & E3FCS analog units. The HT-0590 is for digital cones only; analog cones can be converted to digital for a reasonable fee.
Penetrometer USB
The USB connectivity and the flexibility to use either Windows XP or Windows 7 make this unit easily compatible with customer equipment. Vertek recommends use of a ruggedized laptop for CPT operations.
The CPT software included is our easy-to-use CPT Sound for acquisition and ConePlot for data plotting. RAPIDCPT from DataForensics has been developed for use with the CPT files created by our Vertek acquisition systems if you desire more data presentation possibilities.
The HT-0590 is compatible with existing penetrometer depth markers, CPT 10 pin cables and most rig interface units.

- Versatile graphing capabilities. Can display graph of up to four channels versus depth, seismic versus time, and pressure versus time.
- Displays current status of all channels.
- Supports optical shaft encoder for depth measurements down to 0.5 cm increments.
- Includes cone and vehicle diagnostic screen for easy, rapid set-up, testing and troubleshooting.
- Automatic storage of all cone data during each sounding. Soundings can be interrupted and resumed.
- Capable of logging precise sounding locations via GPS link.
- Displays X and Y inclination graphically.
- Logs, displays, edits, and stores seismic shear wave velocity data from single or dual geophones.
- Supports in-field calibration of cones.
- All cone channel data can be stored in universal ASCII format for easy export to other applications such as gINT, EXCEL, etc.
